n We are currently looking for a Trades or Technical individual to join us in the role of Data Centre Technician working within our facilities teamoperatingon a 24/7 basis.

n Within this entry-level role, we will provide full on-the-job training to bring you up to speed on all aspects of data centre facility management and critical infrastructure, including Cooling, Electrical, Cabling Infrastructure, Building Monitoring, and Fire systems.

n Basedin Artarmon or Macquarie Park,the purpose of this role is to support the Facility Management team with the day-to-day operations of the data centre, by providing high quality & productive technical maintenance and customer service.

n The successful candidate willbe requiredto work a 4 – 5 – 5 rotating shiftrosterwith day shifts from 7am - 7pm and night shifts from 7pm - 7am.





n Key Responsibilities include:

- n
- Delivery of cabling needs, electrical and data, to customer racks and areasn
- Attend to Remote Hands requestsn
- Assistwith vendor management for maintenance of allcoreelectrical and mechanical systemsn
- Ensure that facility problems areidentifiedand resolvedin a timely mannern
- Monitor building management / monitoring systems 24/7, and quickly and effectively elevate issues internally or to vendors as relevantn
- Ensure all visitors and contractors adhere to NEXTDC facility rules.n

n This role is not focused on IT but leans more towards a hands-on facility management position, involving practical tasks and operational responsibilities

n From time to time, during shifts there may be travel between sites asrequired.

n Qualifications

- Excellent customer service, communication skills and a 'can do' attituden
- Basic knowledge of data centres, data cabling and cable management (Desirable)n
- A passion for learning about telecommunications and how things work!n
- Keen interest in fixing and solving problemsn
- TAFE Cert in Telecommunications (desirable)n

n Candidates MUST be Australian Citizens due to security clearances required
