As an Account Manager, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of SME and commercial clients, building trusted relationships while delivering outstanding service throughout the policy lifecycle. Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll join a close-knit team of five in a collaborative environment where everyone works together to ensure monthly renewals are delivered seamlessly. You'll manage a share of a portfolio exceeding $2 million, allocated through a structured monthly renewal process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of SME and commercial insurance clients from renewal through to policy servicing.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication.
- Prepare renewal strategies, negotiate with insurers, and deliver tailored insurance solutions.
- Provide timely advice on policy coverage, endorsements, and risk management options.
- Work closely with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
- Ensure accurate policy documentation, compliance, and system updates.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through cross-selling and additional services.
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented culture where colleagues work together to achieve shared goals.
About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Previous experience managing SME and/or commercial insurance portfolios.
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification (or willingness to complete if required).
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
- Excellent relationship-building and client service skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and renewal deadlines.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A collaborative mindset with a genuine willingness to support your team.
