This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with senior leadership and play a key part in the day-to-day financial operations, reporting and ongoing improvement of the business. With continued growth and a focus on operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Accountant who can take ownership of the finance function and contribute commercially across the business.

Your new role

Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting function while partnering with operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insights.

Your responsibilities will include

- Daily cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Monthly management reporting, financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, payroll tax and superannuation reporting
- Coordination of budgets, forecasts and financial planning activities
- Management and oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Debtor management, collections and cashflow optimisation
- Fixed asset and lease accounting
- Month-end journals, accruals and reporting
- Inventory analysis,



stocktake coordination and margin reviews
- Payroll oversight and employee entitlement reporting
- Supporting HR administration, workers compensation and insurance processes
- Liaising with external accountants and advisors
- Identifying process improvements and driving operational efficiencies
- Mentoring and supporting administration and accounts staff

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a broad Accountant or Finance Manager position
- Strong financial reporting and reconciliation skills
- Experience managing end-to-end accounting processes in a small to medium-sized business
- Knowledge of payroll, taxation and statutory reporting requirements
- Strong systems skills, ideally including Xero
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- A hands-on approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves
- The ability to work autonomously while supporting a collaborative team environment

Experience within industrial, automotive, manufacturing, engineering, construction or trade-based businesses will be highly regarded.
