About the Role
The Accountant is responsible for independently managing core accounting activities for assigned entities or processes, ensuring accurate month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
This role requires sound professional judgment, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to resolve non-routine issues with limited supervision. The Financial Accountant partners cross-functionally and supports continuous improvement across accounting processes.
What You'll Do
Financial Accounting & Close
- Own and execute month-end and year-end close activities for assigned legal entities or accounting areas
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure timely and accurate financial results in accordance with US GAAP / IFRS and YETI accounting policies
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting
- Analyze P&L; and balance sheet movements, providing clear explanations for variances
- Support internal and external reporting requirements, including statutory reporting where applicable
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to internal control requirements
