Key responsibilities will include

- preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals;

- preparing annual financial statements and income tax returns for self-managed superannuation funds;

- preparing SMSF workpapers and liaising with external SMSF auditors;

- assisting with pension calculations, contributions and other SMSF compliance matters;

- preparing business activity statements and GST reconciliations;

- assisting with tax planning and general taxation matters;

- reviewing client accounting records and identifying outstanding information;

- communicating directly with clients, the ATO, auditors and other qualified advisers;

- assisting with Division 7A, capital gains tax and business restructuring matters;

- maintaining accurate working papers; and
- working closely with managers and partners to meet client and lodgment deadlines.
