Accounting Manager | Business Services

Sydney CBD Full time | Permanent $130,000 - $160,000 + Super (depending on experience)

Our client is a well-established and growing Chartered Accounting firm located in the heart of Sydney CBD. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality business advisory and taxation services to a diverse portfolio of SMEs, family groups and high-net-worth individuals, while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager who enjoys mentoring staff, building solid client relationships and contributing to the ongoing growth of the firm.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Partners, you will oversee a portfolio of clients while managing and developing a team of accountants.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing a diverse portfolio of business services and tax clients across various industries.
- Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Providing strategic tax planning and business advisory services.
- Advising clients on business structures, cash flow, budgeting and profitability.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Reviewing work prepared by Senior Accountants and Intermediate Accountants.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Managing workflow, deadlines and resource planning across the team.
- Assisting Partners with practice growth,



client development and process improvements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies through technology and best practice.

About You

- CA or CPA qualification.
- 6+ years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
- Previous experience managing a client portfolio and reviewing compliance work.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.
- Experience mentoring and developing accountants.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with strong organisational skills.
- Experience using Xero, Xero Practice Manager, FYI, MYOB AE or similar practice management software.
