The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented accounts Assistant to join our growing Australian team.
This role is ideal for an accounting graduate or someone with 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience who is looking to develop practical accounting skills in a supportive environment.
You will work closely with our Finance Manager and assist with the day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative functions of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Bank Reconciliation
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
Bookkeeping & Data Entry
- Accurately record supplier invoices and accounting transactions in MYOB.
- Allocate expenses to the correct projects and cost centres.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Accounts Record Management
- Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents.
- Organise and maintain electronic and physical financial records.
- Ensure invoices, receipts and accounting documents are properly filed.
Administration Support
- Assist with general office administration and document management.
- Prepare and organise contracts, correspondence and business documents.
- Maintain organised project and company records.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and Managing Director as required.
About You
Qualifications
- Currently studying or completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce.
Experience
- Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Previous bookkeeping experience is highly regarded.
Technical Skills
- Experience using MYOB / Xero is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Language Skills
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Mandarin language skills are highly regarded.
Personal Attributes
- High attention to detail.
- Robust organisational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a small team.
