Tullamarine, VIC$80,000 - $90,000 plus Superannuation Altitude Recruitment is partnering with a well established consumer electronics and technology business with a growing local and international footprint to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys owning the end-to-end AP function in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in accuracy, process and strong stakeholder relationships.

About the Role

This is an Accounts Payable role sitting within a broader finance team that includes an offshore processing function, so the local hire plays an important part in owning the more complex, judgement based side of the ledger.

You will be reporting to the AP Manager and working closely with a finance team based both locally and overseas. The business imports and purchases a high volume of product, so this role goes well beyond entering invoices. There's real exposure to overseas suppliers, trade finance, and reconciling significant dollar value purchase orders.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing the end to end accounts payable process for overseas and local invoices once they've passed initial entry
- Reconciling purchase orders against supplier invoices and resolving discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams
- Working across trade finance, foreign exchange and landed cost considerations
- Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements across multiple entities
- Ensuring supplier payments are accurate and processed on time, including urgent local and international payments
- Working alongside an offshore team who handle initial invoice entry, while owning the more complex end to end processing locally
- Using SAP and ProSpend for entry,



approval and reconciliation
- Assisting with month end processing and ad hoc requirements from the CFO and AP Manager.

Who We're Looking For

This role can suit a range of experience levels, from someone earlier in their career with the right attitude through to a senior AP professional ready to take on end to end ownership of the function. What matters most is attitude. The business needs someone proactive who takes ownership, asks the right questions, and doesn't get overwhelmed by complexity or volume.

- Experience in an accounts payable role, ideally within a product based, wholesale, or import driven business
- Comfortable managing high volume, high dollar value transactions
- Exposure to overseas suppliers, trade finance or foreign exchange is highly regarded
- SAP or ProSpend experience is a plus but not essential
- A self starter who takes real ownership rather than just processing tasks
- Someone who works well independently but also collaborates closely with an offshore team.
