Retro Traffic is seeking an organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team in Rydalmere. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end account's payable function, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, payments are completed on time, and strong relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

You will take ownership of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely supplier payments and efficient management of supplier records.

You will play a key role in maintaining strong supplier relationships, supporting month-end activities and identifying opportunities to improve finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

As our Accounts Payable Officer, you will:

- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, coding and payment preparation.

- Process approximately 100 supplier invoices per week, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders, approvals and cost centers.

- Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation while following up outstanding approvals.

- Prepare and process weekly payment runs, ensuring appropriate authorizations and remittance advice are completed.

- Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and process credit notes, adjustments and invoice disputes.

- Process employee expense claims and reimbursements.

- Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to supplier and internal stakeholder queries.

- Maintain supplier records and information within Xero.

- Prepare creditor ageing reports and assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations.

- Support improvements to accounts payable processes, systems and procedures.

- Provide support to the billing function, including docket reviews, client invoicing and resolving billing queries.

- Assist with general finance administration and ad hoc tasks as required.





About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- 5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role.

- Strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes.

- Experience using Xero or a similar accounting system.

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

- Qualified communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving capability.

- A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to identify better ways of working.

- Comfortable working in office Monday - Friday.
