Animal Attendant
Tenure: 1 X Permanent – Part Time and Casuals
Location: Echuca Animal Facility
Remuneration: $69,318.60 pro rata, plus superannuation and leave loading
As part of Council’s Community and Culture Team, the Animal Attendant plays a key role in the daily care of animals held within the Animal Facility. The successful applicant for the part time role will be required to work the following days:
Friday 8:30am – 4:45pm
Saturday 8:00am – 1:00pm
Sunday 9:00am – 12:30pm
Monday 8:30am – 4:45pm
About the Role The responsibilities of the Animal Attendant include, but are not limited to:
- Daily feeding, watering, grooming and inspection of animals.
- Cleaning and disinfection of animal housing areas and equipment.
- Administering of medication and treatment prescribed by the Veterinarian.
- Providing daily environmental enrichment and exercise.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience and confidence in handling, transporting and caring for domestic animals.
- A satisfactory National Police Check and Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
- A valid Driver’s Licence.
