- AO6 Project Manager - Building & Construction - 2 x positions available - QLD Government opportunity - Salary: $79.17 per hour + superannuation - Initial Contract to 29/01/2027, with high likelihood of an ongoing rolling contract About the Role Are you looking for a role that offers genuine work-life balance while still giving you the opportunity to deliver complex, high-value projects? You will be responsible for the delivery of complex building projects across the full project lifecycle. Working within a high-performing project delivery workplace, you will manage multiple projects from planning and design through to construction and post-construction activities. This is a hands-on project delivery role suited to an experienced Project Manager, who can drive projects from planning through to completion, balancing commercial outcomes, contract requirements, stakeholder expectations and project performance.
Key Responsibilities - Manage all aspects of project delivery including pre-design, design, documentation, procurement, contract administration, construction and post-construction activities.
- Provide high-level contract management across traditional and non-traditional contract delivery models.
- Monitor project scope, budget, cash flow,
schedules, risks and quality outcomes to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead negotiations with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
- Monitor project performance, manage variances, prepare exception reports and undertake project audits where required.
- Support financial management activities including project fee determination, forecasting, and client billing processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, governance and project management frameworks.
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong experience managing major building or infrastructure projects (client-side) - Strong project management skills across planning, design, procurement, delivery, and handover phases.
- Experience administering construction contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and commitment to delivering value-for-money outcomes.
- Knowledge of project governance, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
- Current C Class Driver Licence (mandatory).
