Who AEMS is looking for

Due to our continued growth, we are currently in search of 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Security Technicians, Electricians, Data cablers or School leavers, who have a genuine interest in the Electronic Security industry for the positions of Apprentice Security Technicians.

Applicants who have commenced related qualifications such as Electrotechnology and Telecommunications are also encouraged to apply.

The position

Working alongside experienced Security Technicians you will assist them to carry out installation and service works and be trained to achieve the following requirements:

- Install and maintain CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion hardware, Cabling and Cable support.
- Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as, adding card readers, cameras and alarm points to any system.
- Fault-finding, diagnostics, and system servicing
- Utilise simPRO job management system and complete appropriate documentation.
- Liaise with stakeholders on technical and service matters.
- Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.

You will participate in both on the job and formal training to achieve your Certificate III Trade Qualification. Training costs will be paid for by the company.

Requirements:

- A genuine interest in electronic security and technology
- Ability to work with hand tools such as pliers, screw drivers, soldering iron and drills.
- Knowledge of circuits and low voltage electronics.
- An attitude of excellence and 100% dedication to your development within the role.
- Follow directions from other technicians well.
- Ability to complete Cert III Tafe requirements to achieve your Trade qualification. (Support is provided by AEMS to assist you to achieve this).
- Must be physically fit.
- Hold or have the ability to obtain a Security Provider Licence and WH&S; General Induction card
- Hold a valid Queensland Drivers Licence
- Able to obtain and maintain criminal history and security clearances.
- You must have the flexibility to travel within our service areas, which at times may include regional and interstate travel.
