The Role

We have an exciting prospect for an Arts & Activation Supervisor to join our team on a Fixed term basis to May 2027.

The Arts & Activation Supervisor is responsible for the planning and delivery of arts programming, public art development, community capacity-building initiatives and place activation in Hedland. Through excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, the supervisor will attract, manage, and oversee a program of community activities and public art ensuring alignment with strategic imperatives and outcomes. You will provide strategic advice, support and recommendations to the Senior Arts and Culture Officer, including the preparation of planning data, budgets, reports, public art asset management, continuous improvement strategies and funding proposals.

The ideal candidate brings a relevant tertiary qualification or substantial practical experience in place-making, place activation, arts management, community development, or a related field. They have proven experience engaging diverse community stakeholders and a strong understanding of place-making principles, approaches, and methodologies within urban or regional settings. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with highly developed organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.

Work Related Requirements The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

- Current 'C' class drivers license
