Due to growth across all of our affiliated businesses, we are now seeking an Assistant Accountant to work in our Corporate Services team. In this role, you will primarily support our CFO across a broad range of functions from data processing through to financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Processing of accounting data including bookkeeping
- Support preparation of financial and management reports
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Debtor and creditor related administration tasks
- Prepare fortnightly payroll
- Prepare intercompany account transactions
- Other accounting and finance related tasks as and when required
The Person
We work in the fast paced, and exciting world of technology and success is assured with the agility to adapt to change quickly. You will ideally have accounting qualifications and have extensive experience supporting a more senior accounting position in a commercial environment. To be successful you must demonstrate the following:
- Attention to detail in order to work autonomously
- Thrive in a diverse and busy environment as you will be working across several entities
- Excellent communication skills to work with our different functions
- Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel)
- Experience with an accounting package (we use Xero) and other operational systems
- Ability to analyse and problem solve
- Experience with other cloud based business applications would be an advantage
- Keen to learn, explore and adopt the use of technology for better business management
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Ability to work toward tight timelines
