Working alongside our Chief Buyer and a passionate team, you'll play a key role in helping deliver innovative toy and discovery product ranges to customers across Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your buying experience in a creative, quick-paced environment.
About the Role
As an Assistant Buyer, you will support the buying and product development process from concept through to delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with local and international suppliers
- Analysing sales performance and inventory levels
- Assisting with forecasting and predictive ordering
- Coordinating and managing purchase orders
- Supporting product development initiatives
- Assisting our graphic design team with product and catalogue requirements
- Coordinating catalogue distribution
- Managing Open-to-Buy reporting
- Maintaining shipping and import documentation
- Managing and organising product samples
- Ensuring all records and documentation are accurate and up to date
- Providing administrative support to the Chief Buyer
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in a buying or assistant buying role is a benefit
- Strong attention to detail with excellent spelling and grammar
- High levels of accuracy and confidence working with numbers
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
- Fluency in Cantonese (preferred but not essential)
