ABOUT THE POSITION.
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in projects from conception to completion, working closely with a seasoned engineering team to design, analyse, and optimise mechanical systems across a diverse range of challenges. Beyond technical delivery, you'll work closely with the leadership team to maintain and expand client relationships, supporting repeat work from existing clients and identifying opportunities to bring in new projects, making this an exciting opportunity to contribute to both project delivery and business growth.
DUTIES.
- Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion
- Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to support business growth
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
- Liaise with clients, consultants,
contractors and key stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Contribute to fee proposals, project planning, resource management and strategic initiatives
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and professional development support to engineers
- Drive quality assurance, technical standards and continuous improvement across project delivery
- Support team performance and capability development to strengthen the mechanical division
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- CPEng accreditation and Design Building Practitioner (DBP) registration preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing engineering teams
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Australian standards
