The Team Millbrook Rise

Centre is a 27-bed mental health subacute inpatient facility; we are a consumer‑centred service with a focus on rehabilitation and recovery located in the beautiful Derwent Valley. We work closely with various services within not only Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) but also with the wider community services such as NDIS providers. We are a collaborative team that works with our consumers, their friends and families in their individualised recovery journey.

We have a constantly developing activities and therapeutic groups program and we welcome new staff and current ideas to contribute to the activities programme at the site.

The Role The Associate Nurse Unit

Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. The ANUM assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources, and provides operational leadership through the coordination of day‑to‑day patient care activities, including patient flow. You will need - Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative, and work with minimal supervision.

- Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation,



innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols. Details of appointment Permanent part‑time, shift worker position (fully rotational), working 60 hours per fortnight, commencing September 2026. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary and allowances $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (pro‑rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Post Graduate
