About the role:

A vacancy has become available for an exceptional beauty trainer and assessor, a trainer and assessor who is capable of inspiring students as well as imparting industry knowledge and know how.

We are looking for a casual beauty trainer and assessor to deliver the Certificate III, IV and Diploma of Beauty Services, Cert III Nail Technology including specialised beauty short courses. The successful candidates would commence training with us once they have been approved to join the college training team. Training is delivered at our Docklands training campus; classes are delivered Monday to Friday.

This position would suit a trainer that wants to work Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday to begin with.

You will be delivering face-to-face training and conducting assessments. You will be engaging with a variety of students to achieve their learning outcome and committed to continuous improvement in education. Many of our students come from a multicultural background where English is not their first language.

Salary in accordance with the appropriate scale of the educational-services-post-secondary-education-award pay-guide.

Responsibilities include:

· Delivery of training and undertaking assessment according to the applicable regulatory requirements.





· Maintain individual student records by completing organisational class attendance rolls.

· Complete comprehensive lesson plans

· Maintain records related to assessments and training in accordance with the ASQA VET Quality framework.

· Participate and contribute to quality improvement ideas and principles.

Critical Selection Criteria:

· Must have: TAE40116 or TAE40110 which must be accompanied by the following units TAELLN401A and TAEASS502.

· Must have AQF qualifications of Certificate IV and Diploma in Beauty Services or above;

· Relevant up to date Industry and workplace currency.

· Able to work to deadlines & manage multiple tasks.

· Be client focus with the ability to create an environment of co‐operation and collaboration.

· Capability to adapt to, embrace and manage change within a challenging environment.

· Capacity to analyse and develop solutions for diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds including for international students.

· Flexible & adaptable – able to work as part of a team or autonomously as required;

· Be a team player and support other team members;

Total Remuneration Package: Package will be an hourly rate in accordance with the educational services post secondary education award-pay scale based on the applicants experience and qualifications including employer's contribution to superannuation.
