About the Role

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and equipment across the station. Working across a broad range of tasks on a high-output irrigated farming property, you will have the opportunity to apply your trade skills to large-scale, meaningful infrastructure work in a dynamic rural setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricating, assembling, and installing metal structures, wide-diameter steel pipework, components, and equipment to specification
- Applying welding, cutting, and shaping techniques to construct, repair, and maintain metal frameworks, large-scale earthmoving machinery, pipe systems, and irrigation-specific infrastructure
- Inspecting completed work for accuracy and quality, ensuring all components meet industry standards and project requirements
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship to ensure the durability and safety of all fabricated structures
- Collaborating with engineers, site managers, and other tradespeople to coordinate and progress project activities

Key Selection Criteria

- KSC 1 Boilermaking, Welding & Metal Fabrication: Demonstrated trade-level experience in boilermaking, welding, or metal fabrication. Proficiency in a range of welding techniques (e.g. MIG, TIG, stick), metalworking processes, and fabrication methods. Ability to produce high-quality work that meets specification and durability standards.

- KSC 2 Large-Scale & Specialised Metalwork:



Demonstrated experience working with large-scale or heavy metalwork, including wide-diameter steel pipework, large earthmoving machinery, or irrigation-specific infrastructure. Ability to apply trade skills to complex, non-standard fabrication and repair tasks in a rural or industrial setting.

- KSC 3 Technical Precision & Quality Standards: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering plans to deliver accurate fabrication outcomes. Strong attention to detail in measuring, fitting, and inspecting work to ensure all components meet industry standards and project requirements.

- KSC 4 WHS, Safety Compliance & Certifications: Demonstrated understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements as they apply to boilermaking, welding, and metal fabrication. Ability to identify and manage hazards, follow safe work procedures, and actively contribute to a safe working environment for self and others on-site.

- KSC 5 Communication, Teamwork & Self-Management: Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-trade operations team. Demonstrates transparent communication with engineers, site managers, and fellow tradespeople, takes direction well, and maintains a strong work ethic and motivation during extended on-site work periods.

- KSC 6 Qualifications, Licences & Work Rights: Hold a current trade certificate in Boilermaking or Welding (or equivalent). Hold a current and valid manual (C Class) driver’s licence. Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with unrestricted rights to work in Australia. Note:
