Woods & Cois partnering with with a well established and highly regarded volume residential builder to recruit a BOQ Estimatorto join their team.

You'll become part of an experienced estimating team where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are highly valued, giving you the opportunity to further develop your technical skills will playing an integral role in the pre-construction process.

Working closely with drafting, sales estimating, product development and construction teams, you'll be responsible for producing Bill of Quantities across a diverse range of residential homes. This role would suit someone enjoys technical estimating, has a strong understanding of residential construction methods and takes pride in delivering accurate, high quality work.

The Role

As the BOQ Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing comprehensive BOQ's across a range of residential home designs. You will analyse construction drawings and specifications, quantify materials and labour requirements, identify discrepancies before construction and ensure estimating information is delivered accurately and on time.

Working closely with multiple internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure documentation is complete, maintain estimating databases, contribute to process improvements and support the delivery of pre-site outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate BOQ's from construction documentation
- Interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings
- Quantify materials, labour and trade requirements




- Review plans and specifications to identify discrepancies
- Liaise with drafting, estimating and construction teams
- Maintain estimating databases and cost information
- Assist with product updates and continuous process improvements
- Ensure BOQ's are completed within required timeframes
- Provide technical support to the wider team when required

About You To be successful in this role you will have previous BOQ estimating experience within the residential building industry and enjoying working in a fast paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

You'll also bring

- Previous BOQ Estimating experience with a residential builder
- Strong understanding of Australian residential construction methods
- Ability to interpret building plans and specifications
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
