About the Role
We're on the lookout for an experienced Building Expert Witness to conduct independent inspections and prepare expert reports.
What we offer:
- Competitive hourly rate: AU$100.00 – AU$150.00 per hour

What You'll Be Doing Conducting independent building expert witness inspections across Sydney metro and greater NSW
- Preparing expert reports for Tribunal, Court, and AFCA matters
- Attending tribunal or court hearings as required
- Representing Owner Inspections with professionalism and integrity
What We're Looking For Qualifications & Experience:
- NSW Contractor Licence (Builder)
or Building Inspector qualification
- Minimum 10 years' experience in building or construction
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Building Expert Witness role
- At least 10 completed expert reports for Tribunal, Court, or AFCA
- Experience attending tribunal or court hearings (preferred)
- Engineering qualification (advantageous but not essential)
General Requirements:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Current Police Check
- Proficient with iPad and computer systems, confident reading plans
- Robust verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and represent our brand professionally
- Physically capable of accessing roof spaces and subfloor areas
- Available Monday to Friday, with occasional travel across NSW
