Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full time, Hybrid role based in Western Australia, Australia. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key customers, and expanding JAS’s presence in the automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial markets.
The role involves conducting market research, developing sales strategies, preparing proposals, and negotiating commercial agreements. Day-to-day tasks include visiting customers, collaborating with internal teams on pricing and product solutions, tracking performance against targets,
and providing regular sales and pipeline reports.
The Business Development
Manager will represent JAS at industry events, promote new products and services, and ensure a high standard of customer experience aligned with company values.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in business development, account management, and relationship building within automotive or related industries.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and negotiation of pricing and contracts.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and develop strategic plans to grow revenue and market share.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver clear proposals.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) to manage customer data and reporting.
- Experience in the automotive aftermarket, auto electrical, batteries, or heavy-duty/industrial sectors is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Western Australia to meet customers and attend industry events.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
