Lane8 is a Business Analysis consulting firm, founded by practising BAs. Business Analysis isn't a line item on our service list - it's the whole business.
We're expanding our BA pool. We have live opportunities with WA clients now and more coming, and we'd rather know who's out there before the next brief lands than scramble when it does.
Who we're looking for
Experienced and mid-level analysts who can operate end to end: discovery, stakeholder engagement, requirements, process mapping, functional definition, delivery support and implementation readiness.
Titles vary. Capability matters more.
Whether you call yourself a Business Analyst, Technical BA, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, Agile BA - or something in between - we want to hear from you.
Core capabilities
- Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation across business and technical groups
- Requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and prioritisation
- Writing requirements as user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
- Business process mapping, current and future state, improvement and re-engineering
- Translating business need into functional and technical specifications
- Creating visuals that communicate ideas, requirements and designs - process models, context diagrams, storyboards, wireframes
- Comfortable in agile, plan-driven and hybrid delivery
- Supporting testing through to implementation
- Explicit communication and the ability to make complex things simple
- Working independently in ambiguity, and shaping solutions rather than just documenting them

What we need from you
- Based in Perth and able to work on-site with WA clients. We're not recruiting interstate.
- Full Australian work rights.
- A track record of delivering in large, complex organisations.

Engagement arrangements
Contract (PAYG or through your own entity) and max-term contract.
