HunterNet Career Connections, in partnership with our host company in Newcastle West, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Trainee to join their team while completing a Certificate III in Business Administration.
This is an exciting prospect to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a professional office environment while earning a nationally recognised qualification. You'll receive ongoing mentoring and support from experienced professionals as you develop the skills needed for a successful career in administration within the government sector.
About the Role
As a Business Trainee, you'll play an important role in supporting a busy office team by keeping operations organised and running smoothly. Throughout your traineeship, you'll build practical administrative skills while contributing to meaningful regional and statewide projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain information systems.
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars.
- Maintain and organise files, records, and documentation.
- Assist with a variety of general administrative duties.
- Support both regional and statewide projects.
- Complete a Certificate III in Business Administration as part of your traineeship.
About You We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, professional, and eager to learn.
- A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
- Well organised with effective time management skills.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
- In possession of a current driver's licence or reliable transport.
- Able to provide a Working With Children Check.
