The Apprenticeship
If you have a keen and curious interest in electrical technology, then this is the Apprenticeship for you!
This hands-on Apprenticeship will see you learning from passionate professionals as you develop your skills and gain a nationally recognised Trade Qualification.
Some of the skills you will develop include:
- Assisting with installation of UPS systems and associated electrical equipment
- Supporting commissioning activities to verify equipment operates correctly before handover to customers
- Conducting preventative maintenance inspections on UPS units and battery banks
- Performing routine testing of batteries, alarms, monitoring systems, and backup power functions
- Assisting senior technicians to identify and rectify faults in UPS equipment
- Recording service results, maintenance reports, and customer documentation
- Assisting engineers and field service technicians during site inspections and maintenance activities
- Testing and commissioning electrical distribution equipment such as switchgear and protection relays
- Supporting power quality studies and measurements of voltage, current, harmonics, and load performance
- Assisting with faultfinding and troubleshooting electrical distribution systems
- Working with monitoring and energy management platforms such as Schneider Electric EcoStruxure solutions
- Preparing technical reports, drawings, and maintenance records
- Following electrical safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out processes, and safe work practices
- Learning about medium-voltage and low-voltage power systems used in commercial, industrial, and utility environments

About You
- Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- Successful completion of Year 12
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Completed a Certificate II in Electrotechnology
- Willing to undertake a National Police Check
- Genuine interest in electrical technology and critical power systems
- Strong commitment to safety and learning
