About the role

GAL.B Korean BBQ in Southport is looking for a reliable Cook / Chef / Kitchen All-Rounder to join our team.

This role is suitable for an experienced cook as well as someone interested in learning authentic Korean cooking. Depending on experience and availability, the role may include cooking, food preparation, kitchen-hand duties and dishwashing.

Key details

- Sunday availability is essential for the Cook position
- Sunday shift: approximately 3:00 pm to 10:00–11:00 pm
- Wednesday availability is essential for Dishwasher / Kitchen Hand shifts
- Additional shifts available on other days
- 1 to 4 days per week, up to approximately 28 hours
- Casual or part-time employment available
- Staff meal, drinks and employee discount provided

Pay
- Cook casual weekday rate: up to $34.96 per hour
- Cook casual Sunday rate: up to $48.95 per hour
- Cook part-time rate: up to $27.97 per hour, plus paid leave
- Dishwasher / Kitchen Hand casual rate: up to $33.85 per hour
- Dishwasher / Kitchen Hand part-time rate: up to $27.08 per hour, plus paid leave
- Higher pay may be considered for candidates who can perform both roles

About you
- Interested in learning Korean cuisine
- Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy kitchen
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable kitchen experience and a Commercial Cookery qualification will be highly regarded
- Willing to assist with food preparation, cleaning and dishwashing when required
