Hotel is seeking our next kitchen team members. Are you a QualifiedChef or Cook ready to embrace a new challenge in our busy bistro? The venue is food lead and with summer tourist seasonal peaks and consistent winter trade our venueoffers consistency and a secure and supportive environment. A passion for localproduce and seafood sits at the venue's core.

Sponsorship is an option for the right applicant and we are happy to assist withrelocation to our seaside town. We currently have multiple exciting opportunitiesavailable across our kitchen team: Chef and Cook. POSITION 1 : CHEF The Role

As a Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences andsupporting the overall operation of the kitchen. Working closely with the Head andSous Chefs , you will contribute to menu development, food quality, and kitchenleadership. Key Responsibilities

· Work alongside the Head Chef to ensure high-quality food production andpresentation





· Contribute to menu design, development, and seasonal updates

· Produce consistent, high-quality dishes in taste, portioning, and presentation

· Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safetystandards

· Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff

· Assist with kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and food costmanagement

· Identify opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity Essential Requirements

· AQF Diploma in Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery, or a related field(or higher). At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formalqualifications listed above

· Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar Chef role

· Strong culinary skills and passion for quality food

· Knowledge of modern cooking techniques and kitchen operations

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes whilemaintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene. Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards

· Assist with menu planning and development

· Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet venue expectations

· Assist with menu development and daily kitchen operations





· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment

· Comply with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations

· Assist with stock control and inventory management

· Support training of junior kitchen staff or apprentices, as required Essential Requirements

· A relevant qualification at the level of an AQF Certificate III including at least twoyears of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV. At least three years of relevantexperience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above

· Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar Cook role

· Ability to consistently follow recipes and kitchen procedures

· Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

· Strong organisational and time-management skills

· Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team

· Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays PERKS & BENEFITS

o Chef: $75,000 – $90,000 plus superannuation o Cook: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation
