Excavation, Piling, Shoring and Structural Civil Works

Dig It Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman or Site Supervisor to take ownership of day-to-day site operations across our Sydney projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong experience in excavation and structural civil construction who can plan the work, lead crews, coordinate plant and subcontractors, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

You will be working across projects involving:

- Bulk and detailed excavation
- Basement excavation
- Piling and shoring
- Capping beams
- Formwork and reinforcement
- Structural concrete
- Shotcrete
- Demolition and remediation

About Us

A highly regarded Sydney-based civil contractor, in the industry for 20+ years. Delivering excavation, piling, shoring, structural concrete and early works packages for builders, developers and private clients. We undertake technically challenging projects where planning, site coordination and practical construction knowledge are critical.

We operate our own fleet of excavators, trucks and civil plant and have a strong pipeline of secured work across Sydney.

The role

You will take responsibility for running the site and coordinating the daily delivery of the works.

Your responsibilities will include

- Planning and sequencing daily and weekly site activities
- Leading operators, labourers, subcontractors and suppliers
- Operating plant equipment efficiently
- Supervising excavation, piling, shoring and structural-concrete works
- Coordinating formwork, reinforcement and concrete placement
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, programmes and construction details
- Checking levels, dimensions, set-out and completed work
- Coordinating surveyors, engineers, builders and other contractors
- Monitoring productivity and keeping works on programme
- Identifying and resolving site issues before they cause delays
- Managing plant movements,



deliveries, spoil removal and site logistics
- Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks and site inductions
- Ensuring compliance with SWMS, ITPs, hold points and WHS requirements
- Maintaining daily site records, dockets, photographs and progress reports
- Identifying variations and additional works as they arise
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised site

About you

You will be practical, organised and confident leading from the front.

You should have

- A trade qualification
- Previous experience as a Civil Foreman, Site Supervisor or senior Leading Hand
- Strong experience in excavation and earthworks
- Practical understanding of formwork, reinforcement and concrete
- Experience coordinating plant operators, labour and subcontractors
- The ability to read civil, structural and shoring drawings
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site logistics
- The ability to plan labour, plant and materials in advance
- Good understanding of WHS, environmental and quality requirements

Experience in piling, shotcrete, retention systems, demolition, basement excavation or remediation will be highly regarded. Relevant plant tickets, first aid qualifications and supervisor training.

This is not a position for someone who wants to manage solely from the site office. We are looking for a supervisor / foreman who understands the work, plans ahead, leads the crew and takes ownership of the safety, productivity, quality and presentation of the site.
