Alpine Communications is a leading provider of end-to-end civil and construction services for the Telecommunications and Rail sectors across Queensland. With a reputation built on reliability, quality workmanship, and a commitment to excellence, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Full-Time Civils Team Leader to join us.
About the Role
As a Civils Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising civil construction crews across a range of rail and telecommunications projects. This role is primarily based on the Gold Coast, with occasional work in Brisbane and other areas of Southeast Queensland to support operational requirements. You will play a key role in coordinating daily site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while providing leadership and support to your team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil construction professional who enjoys leading, by example, mentoring others, and delivering quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Lead and supervise civil construction crews on rail and telecommunications projects. Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and drawings.
Ensure all works comply with company procedures, client requirements,
and relevant legislation.
Maintain a solid focus on workplace health and safety, promoting a positive safety culture.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
Liaise effectively with Project Managers, Supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.
Monitor quality of work and proactively resolve on-site issues.
Strong understanding of civil construction practices, including concreting, trenching, pit installation, and reinstatement works.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work across multiple sites and adapt to changing operational requirements.
Rail industry experience highly regarded.
Current White Card and unrestricted Driver's Licence (HR Licence desirable).
Valid RIW (Rail Industry Worker) Card (desirable).
