About the OpportunityLead governance, compliance and risk management activities across Australian Industry Group, ensuring the organisation meets its legal, regulatory and corporate obligations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Reporting to the Chief Finance & Commercial Officer and working closely with the General Counsel, you will support the delivery of strong governance, compliance and risk management practices across the organisation. In partnership with the Chief Finance & Commercial Officer in their capacity as Company Secretary, you will coordinate Board and Committee governance processes, oversee corporate compliance obligations, statutory reporting, insurance programs and enterprise risk management activities.

You will act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and maintain strong relationships with directors, regulators, auditors, insurers and external stakeholders to support sound governance and organisational compliance.

Whilst the reality of each day will be different, you can expect to be accountable for:• Lead governance activities for the Board and Board Committees, including agendas, board papers, minutes, action tracking and governance records.

- Manage organisation-wide compliance obligations, regulatory reporting, corporate records, licences, registrations and insurance programs.
- Oversee and continuously improve governance, compliance and enterprise risk management frameworks, including risk reporting and mitigation activities.
- Build trusted relationships with Directors, senior leaders, regulators and external stakeholders, providing expert governance, compliance and risk advice.|
- Champion a collaborative, high-performing culture aligned with Australian Industry Group's values and commitment to continuous improvement.

To best succeed in this role you will have;• Demonstrated experience in a Governance, Compliance, Company Secretariat, Risk & Compliance or Corporate Governance role.

- Strong experience supporting Boards and Committees, including governance administration, board papers, minutes and action tracking.




- Sound knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, risk management and regulatory obligations, including ASIC compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, compliance requirements and stakeholders across a complex organisation.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and professional, with strong integrity and discretion.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
