Roller Driver Operating a roller safely and efficiently to compact road base, subgrade, asphalt, and other construction materials. Conducting pre-start inspections and basic maintenance checks on the roller.
Identifying and reporting mechanical faults or safety issues. Following site plans, supervisor instructions, and project specifications. Working alongside graders, excavators, water carts, and other plant operators.
Monitoring compaction quality and making additional passes as required. Maintaining protected work practices and complying with WHS policies and procedures. Performing minor housekeeping and keeping the equipment clean.
Completing required documentation, such as pre-start checklists and maintenance records. Assisting with general civil construction tasks when the roller is not in use.
