About the role

Pollo Rotisserie Torquay is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team in Torquay, VIC 3228.

This is a full-time position 40hr/week roster.

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and safety whilst contributing to the overall success of our establishment.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, plating standards and presentation guidelines
2. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your assigned station and kitchen equipment
3. Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper food handling, storage and temperature control
4. Manage cooking times to ensure meals are prepared efficiently and served promptly to meet service demands
5. Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service operations
6. Maintain awareness of daily specials and menu changes, and communicate effectively with front-of-house staff

What we're looking for

1. Completed Cert 2 in Commercial Cookery or have 2 years work experience in a skilled kitchen
2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and knife skills
3. Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and HACCP principles
4.



Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality and attention to detail
5. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
6. Robust teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction and work collaboratively
7. Positive attitude and willingness to learn
