Akal Security is seeking an experienced Crowd Controller to join our team in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. As a Crowd Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining order and ensuring the safety of patrons at events and venues. This full-time position is crucial in providing a secure and enjoyable experience for all.
What you'll be doing
1. Monitor crowd movements and behaviours to identify potential issues or risks
2. Enforce venue policies and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly workplace
3. Assist in the coordination and implementation of emergency and evacuation procedures
4. Provide excellent customer service and liaise with event organisers, security personnel and law enforcement as needed
5. Maintain accurate record-keeping and incident reporting
6. Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines and procedures
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Crowd Controller or in a similar security role
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the public
3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle challenging situations
4.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
5. Valid security licence and certification in crowd control
6. Familiarity with the relevant legislation and regulations governing the industry
