BTQ is seeking a Cryptographer/Quantum Computer Scientist (Mathematician) to research and develop quantum cryptography and post-quantum security technologies.
Full time: 38 hours per week
Location: BTQ AU, 477 Pitt St. Haymarket, NSW 2000.
- Conducting advanced mathematical research and developing mathematical models to support post-quantum cryptographic systems and quantum-secure communication technologies.
- Analysing the mathematical security of quantum and classical cryptographic protocols, including assessing cryptographic schemes against classical and quantum attack models.
- Designing, developing and evaluating quantum algorithms,
cryptographic algorithms and post-quantum secure communication protocols using advanced mathematical, computational and algebraic techniques.
- Applying mathematical principles to solve complex problems in quantum cryptography, secure communications and information security.
- Undertaking mathematical modelling, computational analysis and performance evaluation to improve the security, efficiency and resilience of cryptographic systems.
- Preparing technical reports, research papers and detailed documentation, and presenting research findings to BTQ Australia's research team and the broader BTQ Technologies technical group.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams to support the development and commercialisation of cutting-edge quantum and post-quantum security technologies.
Requirements
- PhD in closely related field
- At least 1 year academic/industry research experience
- Proven track record of research excellence (peer-reviewed publications, patents)
