About the Role
As a full-time team member, you will play a vital role between business and clients. In this dynamic role, you will be the front-line voice of our company, delivering exceptional service by handling customer inquiries, processing quotes and orders, and keeping our operations running smoothly. This role is based in Melbourne. Flexibility is essential as you will be working rotating shifts between 8 am and 6 pm.
Your main responsibilities:
- Handle inbound customer calls and respond promptly to all inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Accurately create and process customer quotes and sales orders in a timely manner.
- Supporting clients with technical questions, collaborating with our technical experts to provide the best solutions.
- Handle customer complaints effectively by providing appropriate solutions, alternatives, and follow-ups to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Act as a dependable “back-up” to the warehouse team to assist with day-to-day operations as needed.
- Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by your immediate manager to support overall business goals.
About You To succeed in the role; you will possess the following;
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, or order entry (experience in a technical, distribution, or manufacturing environment is a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Active listening skills and the ability to troubleshoot complaints calmly and effectively.
- Tech-savviness: Proficiency in computing skills, including SAP and/or CRM, is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Technical/trade qualification is highly regarded, but not mandatory.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
