The Opportunity KBR is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Certification Consultant to join our team in support of the Joint MSP domain embedded within our Electronic Warfare & Intelligence Systems - Land.

You will play a critical role in delivering cybersecurity assessment, certification and risk assurance activities for complex Defence communications capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated cybersecurity skilled who thrives in a dynamic Defence environment and is passionate about delivering secure, resilient capability outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Conduct System Assessment and Authorisation (SA&A;) activities in accordance with Defence policies and frameworks.
- Perform security assessments using Operational Effectiveness Reviews (OER) and Design Effectiveness Reviews (DER) where appropriate.
- Assess the effectiveness of security controls across Defence capability systems.




- Develop security assessment documentation including Security Assessment Reports (SARs), Authority to Operate (ATO) briefs, risk assessments and remediation recommendations.
- Identify, analyse and evaluate cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities and security exceptions.
- Assess system architectures using structured threat modelling methodologies.
- Support governance activities, including Change Control Boards (CCBs), by providing cybersecurity advice and risk assessments.
- Review security documentation to ensure compliance with Defence Security Policy Framework, the ASD Information Security Manual (ISM), PSPF and other applicable standards.
- Provide specialist cybersecurity advice to project teams and stakeholders.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

- Qualifications and/or professional experience suitable for eligibility to obtain DCIAB-CSAA endorsement as a Cyber Security Assessor.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and/or IRAP accreditation.
- Experience or knowledge of Defence communications systems, including radio and satellite communications.
- Solid understanding of networking, operating systems and modern ICT environments.
- Demonstrated experience producing high-quality technical documentation and assessment reports.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience in the following will be highly regarded: Cybersecurity within Defence communications environments. Defence ICT architectures, governance and cyber compliance. Defence C4 capabilities. Previous experience supporting Defence, Army or CASG projects. Cyber risk assessment and security assurance activities. Developing innovative and practical cybersecurity solutions. Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship required to be eligible.
