PERSOL is partnering with a global mining client to hire a Data Engineer to join its Systems team. In this role, you will develop and enhance a suite of software applications and data platforms that support mine planning and other Technical Services functions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to core development of the data platform
- Design and build scalable, reusable dbt models and macros
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using dbt-core in Snowflake
- Refactor and optimize existing codebase for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices.
- Collaborate with team members through code reviews and technical discussions
- Troubleshoot data issues and optimize query performance in Snowflake
Required
- Strong proficiency in SQL, dbt (core), Snowflake, and Python.
- 1+ Years of experience.
- Strong data modelling experience in Data Vault & Dimensional Modelling
- Basic familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a highly quick-paced environment
