Senior Data Modeller – Perth CBD | Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 WFH) - Contract 3 months initially

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Modeller to join a growing data team supporting critical financial reporting and analytics initiatives. This role is based in Perth CBD, with a hybrid setup of 4 days onsite and 1 day work-from-home.

If you have deep experience in Azure Synapse, robust dimensional modelling expertise (including Type 1 and Type 2 slowly changing dimensions), and a solid understanding of financial data, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust dimensional data models to support enterprise reporting and analytics
- Build and optimise data solutions within Azure Synapse Analytics
- Implement and manage Slowly Changing Dimensions (Type 1 & Type 2)
- Partner with finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data models
- Ensure accuracy, consistency,



and integrity of financial reporting datasets
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
- Support performance tuning and optimisation of data pipelines and reporting layers

About You

- Proven experience as a Data Modeller or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Deep understanding of dimensional modelling principles (Kimball methodology preferred)
- Demonstrated experience implementing Type 1 and Type 2 dimensions
- Solid background working with financial data and reporting
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with finance teams
- A background in finance, accounting, or related domain is highly desirable
