Smile Quarter Dental Group is a new dental practice based in Bayside, with an on-site dental lab and a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient experience. As we are about to start a new journey, we are looking for a Practice Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the business.

This role suits someone with a strong business, operations, management and/or marketing background - dental industry experience is a bonus, not a requirement. If you're commercially minded, organised, and enjoy building efficient systems and leading a team, we'd love to hear from you.

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead, mentor and support the clinical, reception and administration teams.
- Coordinate staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and induction.
- Develop training programs and foster a positive, high performing workplace culture.
- Manage staff rostering, performance reviews and ongoing professional development.
- Promote staff wellbeing while ensuring HR policies and workplace procedures are consistently followed.

Practice Operations

- Oversee the daily operations of the practice to ensure smooth, efficient workflows.
- Manage reception, administration and appointment scheduling systems.
- Continuously improve operational systems and practice efficiency.
- Maintain exceptional front of house standards and deliver an outstanding patient experience from first enquiry through to treatment completion.
- Manage suppliers, equipment, consumables and external contractors.

Business & Financial Management

- Manage practice budgets, billing reconciliation and financial reporting for ownership.




- Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and operational planning.
- Work closely with the Principal Dentist on strategic business initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Marketing & Practice Growth

- Lead practice marketing initiatives and community engagement activities.
- Coordinate patient recall programs and optimise new patient conversion.
- Manage social media, promotional campaigns and practice communications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring dental practices and key stakeholders.
- Assist with planning and delivering practice events, educational programs and promotional activities.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement strategies to continually enhance the patient experience.

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace legislation, privacy obligations and practice policies.
- Oversee quality assurance, accreditation requirements and OH&S; systems.
- Maintain documentation, policies and procedures that support a safe, compliant and highly qualified practice environment.

About you

- Proven experience in a management, operations, or business role (healthcare, hospitality, retail, or professional services backgrounds all welcome)
- Strong financial literacy - comfortable with budgets, KPIs, and reporting
- Excellent people leadership and communication skills
- High attention to detail and process-driven mindset
- Dental or medical (private) industry experience highly regarded but not essential - full training and support provided
- Willing to learn dental practice management software(training provided on our systems)
