- Understand client objectives, budgets and design requirements.
- Lead concept design meetings and present design options.
- Maintain professional communication throughout the design process.
Design
- Prepare concept plans and design development drawings.
- Produce detailed construction documentation suitable for residential building approvals.
- Prepare documentation for Development Applications and Building Permit submissions where required.
- Coordinate consultant documentation including engineering and energy assessments.
Visualisation
- Produce high-quality 3D models.
- Prepare realistic external and internal renders.
- Produce client fly-through presentations and visualisations.
Construction Collaboration
- Liaise closely with the Builder to ensure designs remain practical, cost-effective and buildable.
- Respond to Requests for Information during construction where required.
- Attend site meetings when necessary.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Australian-recognised qualification in Building Design, Architectural Drafting or Architecture.
- Minimum five years' experience designing residential homes, renovations and extensions in Western Australia.
- Strong knowledge of
- National Construction Code (NCC)
- WA Residential Design Codes (R-Codes)
- Residential construction methods
- Local government planning requirements
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- ABN.
- Qualified Indemnity Insurance (or willingness to obtain before engagement).
Software Requirements
Applicants must be proficient in one or more of the following:

- Lumion

- Enscape
- Adobe Creative Suite
Applicants must be capable of producing:
- Concept drawings
