Diesel Fitters – Machine Overhauls and Component Rebuilds

Paget | 5/2 & 4/3 Rosters | Day Shift Only Baltic Diesel is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our growing team. If you're looking to step away from FIFO or DIDO while still working on large-scale mining equipment, this is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a genuine work-life balance without compromising on the quality of work.

Working in Paget, you'll be involved in machine mid-life repairs, major component rebuilds and overhauls for leading mining clients. This role is ideal for fitters who enjoy precision rebuild work and take pride in producing high-quality outcomes.

About the role

As a Workshop Diesel Fitter, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting inspections, fault finding and diagnostics on major machine components
- Performing machine mid-life repairs and complete machine overhauls
- Engine overhauls (where experience permits)




- Working on Caterpillar and Komatsu mining equipment
- Completing quality inspection reports and documentation
- Maintaining a safe, organised and qualified workshop
- Working closely with supervisors and other trades to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently

What we're looking for

To be successful, you'll have:
- Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification or equivalent

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- Full Australian working rights
- Previous experience rebuilding heavy diesel components and machines
- Experience with Caterpillar and/or Komatsu equipment
- Ability to read workshop manuals and follow OEM procedures
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Commitment to safety and quality
