About the role
This isn’t just a pick-and-pack job. As the Dispatch Assistant at Metal-Tech Industries', you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehousing and distribution activities. This full-time position is based in our Wacol, Queensland facility and involves managing the dispatch of goods, as well as general warehouse and store-keeping duties.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate with the factory team to ensure production schedules align with dispatch deadlines.
- Maintain stock accuracy and manage outgoing inventory.
- Loading and unloading of trucks and customer vehicles.
- Deliveries.
- Assist with the preparation and packaging of outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to warehouse operations.
- Support the wider logistics team as required.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar dispatch, store or warehouse role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on factory environment.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and keen to continually improve systems.
