Build. Optimise. Convert. Become PWD's eCommerce Specialist

As PWD's eCommerce Developer, you'll build and optimise online stores that help our clients' customers choose, trust and buy. You'll work across Shopify, Shopify Plus and WooCommerce, taking projects from approved design through to clean, tested release - and you'll be the go-to voice on what a high-performing eCommerce store should have. This is a hands-on development role with real influence over how we architect, build and continuously improve our eCommerce work. You'll collaborate with our designers, account managers and production team, and you'll have the support of a development team that's embracing modern, AI-assisted workflows.

You won't just ship stores - you'll make them perform.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable Shopify, Shopify Plus and WooCommerce solutions
- Build and customise Shopify themes using Liquid, Shopify templates and modern front-end approaches
- Implement and maintain Shopify APIs, app integrations and third-party services (payments, shipping, ERP/accounting connectors, B2B and wholesale tooling)
- Deliver WooCommerce builds to PWD's Development Standards, including custom checkout, product and pricing configurations
- Work closely with designers,



account managers and the Production Manager to scope, estimate and deliver features accurately
- Optimise site performance, Core Web Vitals, conversion and user experience across storefronts
- Ensure every build passes rigorous QA before launch and is documented and maintainable
- Contribute experience, challenge an approach constructively, then get the right work over the line
- Support continuous improvement across the team, sharing eCommerce best practice

About You

You're a genuine eCommerce specialist who cares about the full picture - not just clean code, but how the store actually sells. You're a proactive problem-solver who can take an approved idea from brief to tested release without hand-holding, and you're comfortable working at agency pace across multiple projects.

You bring

- Proven commercial experience building Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, including theme development with Liquid
- Solid WooCommerce experience, including custom builds with WordPress
- Experience integrating Shopify APIs and third-party commerce systems
- A full understanding of what a high-converting eCommerce store needs - UX, merchandising, checkout flow, payments, shipping, analytics




- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex technical challenges
- Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to estimate accurately and deliver within scope
- We are looking for a developer with 4+ years of experience in eCommerce
