Overview Inverell District Hospital offers a comprehensive Emergency Department that serves high‑acuity cases and provides day surgery, high dependency, 24‑hour emergency and outpatient services. The hospital is located in a historic area with beautiful restored buildings and a vibrant local community.

Responsibilities - Serve as the sole Doctor in charge of emergency medicine and provide vital care to patients.

- Remain onsite for the entirety of each shift (day 0800‑2000 and night 2000‑0800) aside from designated breaks.
- After more than 7 consecutive on‑call days, attend two mandatory rest days to manage fatigue.
- Collaborate with on‑site anaesthetics, gynaecology and remote retrieval teams, and work closely with GP/VMOs.

Qualifications & Requirements - Medical registration and proven experience in emergency medicine.

- Ability to work independently with high‑acuity, critical‑care patients.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills with a focus on community engagement.
