The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a high-performing People and Culture function and provide strategic and operational advice across a broad range of human resources matters.
As Assistant
Director, People and Culture, you will partner with senior leaders and employees to deliver contemporary HR solutions, support workforce capability and contribute to a positive workplace culture. You will have the opportunity to influence key people initiatives, provide trusted advice on complex matters and play a significant role in strengthening organisational outcomes. This role will suit an experienced HR practitioner who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment and is motivated by the opportunity to deliver meaningful people outcomes.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, you will provide expert HR advice and support across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing advice to leaders and employees across a broad range of HR matters including workplace health and safety, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, grievances,
policy interpretation and employment frameworks - Supporting enterprise agreement preparation, negotiations and related workforce activities - Overseeing performance management frameworks and supporting effective leadership practices - Reviewing and improving HR policies, processes and systems to ensure alignment with legislation, employment frameworks and organisational priorities - Leading complex HR projects, change initiatives and workforce improvements that enhance capability and culture - Coaching and mentoring members of the People and Culture team to support professional development - Managing sensitive and complex employee matters with sound judgement, discretion and professionalism The Ideal Person You are an experienced HR skilled with broad generalist capability and demonstrated success providing trusted advice across complex workplace matters. You will bring strong experience in areas such as employee relations, performance management, case management, workplace relations and organisational development. You have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and provide practical, considered advice that supports positive business outcomes. Your understanding of employment frameworks, coupled with your ability to navigate sensitive matters with integrity and discretion, will be highly valued. You are a cooperative and forward-thinking HR practitioner who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. With strong communication skills, sound judgement and a genuine passion for supporting people and culture outcomes, you will be well positioned to make a meaningful contribution.
