Perth College is looking for an experienced English Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. The successful candidate will have a passion for literature, language and literacy, a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their full potential, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the wider School community.

This is a temporary full-time position for Term 4, 2026, with a potential for the role to transition into an ongoing position.

The role involves teaching Senior School students and supporting them to achieve academic success within a positive and engaging learning environment. The ability to teach both ATAR English and ATAR Literature is highly desirable.

About you:

If you are a passionate English Teacher who inspires students to engage with literature, language and literacy, we would love to hear from you. You will bring excellent classroom management and communication skills, a student-centred approach to teaching and learning, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and supportive teaching team.

You have

- A Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts (English) with a Postgraduate Diploma of Education, or equivalent teaching qualification

- Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia

- Current Working with Children Check

- Experience teaching Senior School English, with the ability to teach ATAR English & Literature (highly regarded)

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to share expertise, resources and best practice




- A demonstrated passion for English education and the ability to engage students in critical thinking, analysis and effective communication
- A commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting the diverse learning needs of students
