Role Description As an Environmental Field Crew Member, you will support field-based environmental management activities across a variety of natural and managed landscapes in and around Melbourne, VIC. On a typical day, you may assist with vegetation management, weed control, planting and rehabilitation works, soil and water monitoring, and the maintenance of environmental assets and equipment. You will follow site-specific work plans, adhere to safety and environmental protocols, and accurately record field data for reporting and compliance purposes.





Collaboration with supervisors, environmental specialists, and other crew members is essential to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients and ecosystems. This is a full time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, which may involve outdoor work in varied weather conditions and occasional travel to different project locations.

Qualifications

Ability to perform field-based environmental work, including vegetation management, weed control, and site rehabilitation tasks.

Basic knowledge of ecology, biodiversity, and environmental management principles, with a strong interest in conservation and sustainability.

Capacity to follow work instructions, use tools and equipment safely, and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse colleagues and client representatives.

Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varied terrains and weather conditions.

Attention to detail in recording field data, completing reports, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transport;

experience operating light machinery or equipment (e.g., brush cutters, sprayers) is an advantage.

Relevant qualifications or training in environmental science, conservation, land management, or a related field are beneficial but not mandatory.
