AECOM's environmental practice is dedicated to helping clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while developing critical infrastructure for transportation, energy transition and Brisbane 2032, and protecting the natural environment and the Great Barrier Reef. We provide advisory and technical services to manage impacts, ensure compliance and reduce risks, influence design, secure approvals, and tackle climate change risk and resilience, preserving habitats and cultural resources, protecting water quality and the Great Barrier Reef, and promoting a holistic approach to environmental impact management at every project stage.

Responsibilities - Environment lead for high profile projects to secure State and Commonwealth approvals in collaboration with clients and cross‑business line teams

- Manage the delivery of complex Environmental Impact Assessment and approvals for major projects, including coordination of multidisciplinary technical teams and approval processes (EIS, MID, EPBC)
- Provide technical leadership, identify risks, solve problems, and communicate change through planning, design and approval processes
- Provide technical advice and strategic planning for impact assessment and approvals across a diverse range of projects and environmental services
- Manage resources, delegate activities,



monitor and manage project budgets (with support as required)

- 12+ years relevant environmental assessment and approvals experience in a consulting environment (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience leading successful application of Commonwealth and State planning and environmental legislation on major projects
