The Prospect

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Estimator to join our asphalt and spray seal department based at our Wingfield office.

Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager, you will be primarily responsible for estimating and quoting activities while building effective customer relationships through reliable communication and high-quality service. You will also provide day-to-day support to the wider team and manage QA documentation and compliance for jobs and projects, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key responsibilities

- Collect and analyse all contract and project information (e.g., traffic control, line marking, truck hire, profiler hire prices) to assist with costing and estimating.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the system to maintain current projected pricing for tenders.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and quotations




- Collaborate with management and operations to communicate project-specific objectives and targets to project staff and crews.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all estimations and pricing.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in all aspects of the role.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to market the services of the company.
- Exhibit proven organisational skills and attention to detail.

About You

- Bachelor’s in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in estimating, contract negotiation, administration and project management in road construction or civil contracting industries.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Robust analytical and mathematical skills for precise calculations and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cost estimation software and tools (Benchmark Estimating Software or similar).
