All positions will initially commence on a casual basis, with the opportunity to progress into full-time employment following a successful performance review.
About the role
You will work across telecommunications and civil construction projects in Canberra and surrounding areas. Applicants must be based locally or willing to travel to Canberra for work.
What we’re looking for
- Previous HDD, telecommunications or civil construction experience
- Experience operating excavators or other civil machinery
- Experience installing telecommunications pits and conduits
- HDD locating/tracking experience
- A strong work ethic and ability to work within a crew
- Construction White Card
- Current driver’s licence
- Relevant machinery tickets and truck licence are highly regarded
- Ability to follow workplace health and safety requirements
- Reliable transport and consistent attendance
Pay and conditions
Hourly rates range from $35.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience:
- From $35 per hour for skilled labourers
- Higher rates for experienced pit installers and locators
- Up to $50 per hour for highly experienced operators
Regular performance reviews will be available for the right workers, with opportunities for pay increases and career progression based on performance, reliability and capability. This is an excellent prospect for experienced workers seeking ongoing work with a busy civil construction crew.
